January 8, 2018 – The date is set for the 2018 Chagrin Valley Hunter Jumper Classic – July 5-15. Schneider Saddlery Opening Weekend will run Thursday July 5 through Saturday the 7th, with Riding for the Disabled competition on Monday July 9 and the rated horse show July 10 through 15. Among the many highlights will be the Saturday evening $20,000 International Hunter Derby and the culmination, $50,000 Cleveland Grand Prix on Sunday, July 15 at 2 p.m.
New Board of Directors Announced
The nonprofit organizing body of the Hunter Jumper Classic, The Chagrin Valley PHA Horse Shows Inc., recently named it new Board of Directors. Returning Board members include Elizabeth Conlin (Chagrin Falls), Cindy Foster (Novelty), Debbie Liff (Perpper Pike), Megan Bash (Hunting Valley), Elizabeth Porter , Lori Proch (Bainbridge), Karen Schneider (Gates Mills), Michael Shaughnesey (Hunting Valley), Pat Swann (Bainbridge), Jesse Terdan (Mentor), and Tom Visconsi (S. Russell). According to Co-Chairmen Lori Proch and Tom Visconsi, new Board members include Rebecca Bendlak (Chagrin Falls) , Sally Koepke (Newbury), Marianne Roush (Highliand Hts.), and Judy Hauser (Shaker Heights).

Presented by the nonprofit Chagrin Valley Professional Horsemen’s Association (CVPHA), the 2018 Chagrin Hunter Jumper Classic will benefit local charities and boosts the local economy by an estimated $3 million in visitor dollars. The show is run by the nonprofit Board of the CVPHA and a team of community volunteers.
